NEW SITE FEATURES
Member Portal - members can easily update their contact information, personal photo, biography, skills, credits, and can add themselves to the “Available for Work List.” Members can also see their dues balance and pay online via the portal. Resume Builder – (requires login) choose which credits, skills and professional contacts to add to a variety of pro resume formats. Members can download a PDF of their resume, and every member has a permalink to their resume online to share and network with employers. Guild Contacts - a single link on the navigation bar provides a dropdown to find field reps, and staff on the east and west coast. Also easily report a workplace violation. Event Calendar - find upcoming Guild events quickly with a new and improved online calendar. Sort events by type (screening, training, panel discussion, etc.), or by location — Los Angeles or New York. Also subscribe to the calendar so it appears on any mobile device. Users have options on how all of these events may be disseminated. Social Media - a live stream of the MPEG Facebook, Twitter and Instagram posts Wages and Contracts - a page dedicated to giving information about the many contracts under which post-production professionals work. Easily search for a specific project, see rules and scale wages based on classification, and download PDF contract summaries. There is also a Wage Calculator (currently still in Beta version) and virtual Timecard Generator to enter hours and days worked to see how overtime, meal penalty and guaranteed hours affect the bottom line of one’s paycheck. Education - view past videos of MPEG training seminars, book a workstation in either Los Angeles or New York, get online training via Lynda.com, or request funding for a class with an outside vendor. Union Organizing - easily contact a Guild organizer in confidence to discuss your individual workplace and how you can have an increased voice on the job. Employers and Public - a dedicated section for producers and Guild signatories to login and stay connected. Also a straightforward instructions how to join and the benefits of membership. CineMontage - a link to the stand-alone magazine and news website, the journal of the Motion Picture Editors Guild, featuring labor news, technology tips, and all things post production. Guild Store - buy direct the latest Editors Guild hats, T-shirts, hoodies, and other union-made swag and arrange for direct shipping
