The New York staff is available to answer your questions about membership and its benefits, and you are strongly encouraged to discuss your individual situation with one of us before you make the decision to join, particularly if you do not have a union job. If you have already secured a union job but have not yet joined, you must call our office to make an application.

If you are working on a job that you feel would benefit from a union contract, or you have questions about how the job might change if it were under contract, you should feel free to call our office any time. Initiation Fees (Feature films and long-form documentaries)
INITIATION & PROCESSING FEES
Editor $3,000 Sound Editor $2,000 Music Editor $2,000 Assistant Editor $1,500 Edit Room Assistant $1,000 There is a $100 processing fee for all applications. Initiation fees can be paid in increments, with one half up front and the balance over six months.
