EAST COAST TRAINING
NEW YORK OFFICE
The East Coast Training Room has been expanding its selection of courses, seminars, and special events since opening its doors, the spring of 2005. Thanks to the continued support and generosity of Michael Phillips and Avid technologies, we now have a total of three Avid MC Soft version; our new alliance with Matthew Cohen, Partner and Owner at Tekserve, has provided us with donations, educational discounts, and three Macbook Pros for additional work stations.
Members in good standing have the opportunity to participate in courses limited to three participants, to ensure individual attention, and still maintain a group atmosphere. June 2007 will introduce summer courses, with individual workstations for Avid and FCP; one-on-one training and private tutoring in a variety of applications. Members can also call and sign up to spend time alone on any of the equipment. All courses must be registered for via email, and are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
As always, courses are taught in the Guild Training Room, by fellow members, replicating actual workflows. Courses cover applications and topics such as Avid MC (assistant editor workflow, Avid editing for FCP editors, Advanced Editing techniques), After Effects, PhotoShop, Pro Tools for music editors, and FCP for Avid editors.
