The Editors
Guild to Sponsor
Post/LA Expo
Local 700 is serving as a sponsor of
the 3rd annual Post/LA Expo, presented by The Hollywood
Reporter in conjunction with The American Film Market. This
year's event takes place February 25-27 at the Santa Monica
Civic Auditorium. All members are invited to come to the
show to get an up-close look at the technologies and
services affecting the way we practice our art today and in
the future.
The Guild will have a booth on the
show floor. (You may have already received an application
for a free pass in the mail. If not and you would like to
attend, please contact the Guild offices.) "As we seek to
become a more visible force in the post-production
community, we feel it's important to support the only show
in Los Angeles dedicated solely to our business," said Guild
director of communications Keith Lissak. "Post/LA offers the
opportunity to interact with the manufacturers and service
providers that are key players in the industry. That makes
the show an ideal place to check out new technologies and
network with peers."
In addition to the exhibits, a
Conference Program exploring the skills necessary to master
film and teleproduction techniques in the digital age is
scheduled. All panels are $35 each and seating is limited.
Last year's program was 80% sold out, so register early.
