Randy Jon Morgan won the Emmy for outstanding single-camera picture editing for a series for 'ER: The Long Way Around.' Also nominated were Alec Smight, A.C.E., Mark Baldwin, A.C.E. and Angie Hess, A.C.E. for 'Chicago Hope: Day Of The Rope', Kevin Casey for 'ER: Union Station', David Siegel for 'Law & Order: Judgement in L.A.: part 2', Jim Gross for 'The X-Files: Terma' and Heather MacDougall for 'The X-Files: Tempus Fugit'.
Michael L. Brown won the Emmy for outstanding single-camera picture editing for a miniseries or a special for 'Miss Evers' Boys.' Also nominated were Tony Gibbs, A.C.E. for 'Crime of the Century', Zach Staenberg for 'Gotti', Elena Maganini for 'If These Walls Could Talk', Michael Ornstein, A.C.E. for 'In Cold Blood' and Drake Silliman for 'The Man Who Captured Eichmann.'
Kris Trexler won the Emmy for outstanding multi-camera picture editing for a series for 'Ellen: The Puppy Episode.' Also nominated were Ron Volk for 'Frasier: To Kill a Talking Bird', Leslie Tolan and Paul Anderson for 'The Larry Sanders Show: My Name Is Asher Kingsley', Leslie Tolan and Sean Lambert for 'The Larry Sanders Show: Everybody Loves Larry' and Skip Collector for 'Seinfeld: The Pothole.'
Guild member Dylan Tichenor was a nominee for outstanding multi-camera picture editing for a mini-series or a special for 'Robert Altman's Jazz '34: Remembrances Of Kansas City Swing'.

Guild members Karl Messerschmidt, TD for the 'Cosby' pilot, and Kenneth Tamburri, TD for 'Muppets Tonight hosted by Sandra Bullock', received nominations for outstanding technical direction for a series. Guild member John B. Field had two nominations for outstanding technical direction for a miniseries or a special, for 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame Festival of Fun Musical Spectacular' and 'The Kennedy Center Honors.'
This year's primetime Creative Arts Emmys were awarded on Sunday, September 7th but not televised. The final award was graciously handed out - er, make that given out - by Lassie, helped by June Lockhart.
