GUILD MEMBERS IN THE MIX
On Wednesday, January 19, the Motion Picture Editors Guild started off the
new year by hosting an MPEG Mixer at the swank Hollywood restaurant Falcon
on the Sunset Strip. The turnout was spectacular (130 people!) for a first-time
event, which offered members a chance to mix and mingle with each other on
a purely social level.
The Guild staff and some members of the Board of Directors were also present to participate in the evening’s festivities. Music, food and drinks were on hand, with the appetizers provided courtesy of Ascent Media.
The positive response from the membership guarantees that these mixers will continue. Another is planned for the month of March, location and date to be announced.
