New York TRAINS

The Training Room at the New York Guild has been rather busy this spring with seminars and courses for members. Most recently, on June 13, was a seminar and demonstration of the Lightworks Alacrity editing system, one of which was donated to the Guild's Training Program by Lightworks. Seminars are pictured below.

RIGGS HEADS GUILD OFFICE IN CHICAGO

Jay A. Riggs has joined the Editors Guild as an Organizer/ Field Representative, heading up the Chicago office. He brings with him years of experience in both political and union organizing. After receiving his graduate degree in Political Science from Ball State University, Riggs spent three years with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), organizing public employees and professionals in Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Detroit and Chicago. He will be focusing on building union density for post-production professionals in Chicago, as well as servicing the Midwest membership.
