Let There Be Light
Lightworks shines on the Big Apple when the company presents a seminar
on its editing system to New York Guild members. Demonstrating the

Guild Offers Relief
In response to the devastating Hurricanes Katrina and Rita that ravaged
the gulf coast of the United States in August and September, the Motion
Picture Editors Guild has donated $10,000 to the victims of the storms.
Individual Guild members are encouraged to donate on their own by
giving to the hurricane relief fund of their choice.
MPEG Re-Wired
Coming very soon to a computer near you is the new, redsigned Editors
Guild website (at the same web address: www.editorsguild.com). Due
to officially launch during the month of November, the new site will
feature, among other improvements, a dynamic homepage with changing
imagery, a consistent design throughout, an increased functionality
and user-friendly interface, and a vastly enhanced membership database
and member forum.
Directory Assistance
Work on the Motion Picture Editors Guild's 2006-2007 Directory of
Members is currently underway. Members will soon be receiving notices
via e-mail and snail-mail to update their information via the new
online interactive membership directory on the soon-to-launch, revamped
Editors Guild website (see above). The physical Directory books are
scheduled to be published in Spring 2006.
