The blockbuster daytime talkfest "The Rachel Ray Show" was organized in New York in April, 2008. The various motion picture locals in New York helped bring the crew together. MPEG Organizer Marc Laub obtained signed Authorization Cards from the editorial crew. Negotiations begin in late May.

The New Year brings a new face to the organizing department. Please welcome Rob Callahan to our Los Angeles office staff.
Rob works on Guild organizing campaigns within the Los Angeles area, helping members and prospective members mobilize to secure union contracts with non-union employers. Before coming to Local 700, he served as a national representative for the American Federation of Teachers, for whom he conducted organizing, contract, strike, and political mobilization campaigns across the country.
