UNIONIZE YOUR SHOW
Unionize Your Post Production Workplace!
If you are a post production professional and don't work for a company that has a contract with the Editors Guild, you probably aren't getting the most out of your work.
YOU can change that. You and your co-workers have a guaranteed right under Federal law to form a union. Section 7 of the National Labor Relations Act states:
"Employees shall have the right to self-organization, to form, join or assist labor organizations, to bargain collectively through representatives of their own choosing, and to engage in other concerted activities for the purpose of collective bargaining or other mutual aid or protection..."
The Editors Guild has embarked on a broad-based organizing campaign designed to expand our membership to include more post-production houses, cable programming, documentaries, commercials trailers and industrials. If you work for a non-union employer and are interested in learning how you could benefit if your show or company had a union contract, then we want to hear from you.
