FIRST ENTERTAINMENT CREDIT UNION
Members of the Motion Picture Editors Guild are eligible to become members of the First Entertainment Credit Union. First Entertainment is widely regarded as the premier financial resource for the entertainment community. Originally chartered in 1967 as the Warner Seven Federal Credit Union, their membership base has expanded over the years to include many new entertainment groups. To better represent this growing family of members, their name was changed to First Entertainment Credit Union in 1984. Today, they serve more than 750 entertainment-based companies, from which they have approximately 55,000 members and over $500 million in assets. Safety You Can Trust.
At First Entertainment, your accounts are insured up to $100,000 by the federally regulated National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF). Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs), are insured separately up to an additional $100,000 ($200,000 total). First Entertainment observes rigorous guidelines for operational safety and we don't invest in commercial loans, junk bonds, derivatives or other risky investments. All members of our Board of Directors are fellow credit union members who serve on a volunteer basis to set the long-term direction of the credit union and to ensure that prudent operational policies are maintained.
