WEST COAST TRAINING
Members of the Motion Picture Editors Guild have access to in-house editing systems and are eligible to receive subsidized training at local training facilities. Subsidies are renewed on a yearly basis through Contract Services Administration Trust Fund. In addition to training courses, members are invited to numerous seminars and user group meetings, which are open to members only.
Contract Services Administration Trust Fund has reinstated its reimbursement program for 2008. Local 700 members taking training at Autodesk Media, Moviola Digital, Video Symphony or Weynand Training can receive 2/3rds reimbursement of the total class cost. In order to take advantage of this program, you will need an application which is available on our website, www.editorsguild.com, in the Members section on the Western Region Training Page or you can email Dieter Rozek at training@editorsguild.com to request a copy.
More information on our training facilities in Hollywood and New York is available to Guild members under the Training menu of the Members section of this website.
