Dr. Daniel Pourshalimi, Internal Medicine, UCLA Health|MPTF Westside

The old maxim says we are but the proof may be seen in the world’s “Blue Zones” – geographic areas where people live exceptionally long lives. UCLA Health’s Dr. Daniel Pourshalimi discusses what the “Blue Zones” have taught us about nutrition and its role in disease-prevention and longevity.

Dr. Daniel Pourshalimi is a primary care physician who practices at MPTF|UCLA Health Westside. He is board certified in internal medicine, and uses a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. His purpose and drive comes from helping others and seeing his patients becoming healthier and happier. His clinical interests include the treatment of chronic conditions through science-based nutrition and inspiring healthy lifestyle choices. A Los Angeles native, Dr. Pourshalimi earned his medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and completed his residency at LAC + USC Medical Center. Before returning to UCLA, he practiced medicine in New Orleans and at Columbia University Medical Center in New York.
