This seminar addresses ideas as you build specific moments in a scene. We’ll break down what’s at work using reaction shots, finding juxtaposition payoffs, use of double cutting, transitions between beats and between scenes, and tips for comedy. These same notions apply to the final whole movie, so we’ll cover structure concepts too.

The aim is to strengthen your feeling for the nuts and bolts within exchanges. This builds on your base of instincts for the emotional rhythm, for what the scene is trying to sell, and for recognizing truth in performances.
