2019 World Pride March in NYC

This year’s New York City Pride March on Sunday, June 30th is already being heralded as “the biggest Pride celebration in the world”! Not only is World Pride coming to NYC, but this year marks the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, so this year’s Pride March promises to be a huge event.  

We are happy to report that Local 700 is joining the IATSE and our sister Locals in the New York Pride March.  Up to 400 IATSE members from the various NYC locals will march alongside and/or ride on the float. Each Local is allotted 30 spaces.  

Because the number of marchers in our contingent is limited, we need to know as soon as possible if you would like to participate.  Please be advised that due to the limit on marchers, RSVPing does not guarantee you a spot in the Pride March. Marcher confirmation emails will be sent out to members in early June.
   
The IATSE group will step off some time in the afternoon.  In addition to marchers, we will need volunteers to help assemble the float at the staging area and strike the float at the end of the day.  Please contact Sandy Fong-Ging Sfong-ging@editorsguild.com if you have any questions.  Location and time details will follow.
