Meg Reticker will discuss her experience editing comedy with a focus on actors. She will share scenes from various TV and films that she has cut to illustrate her approach and techniques to comedic editing in carving out an actor’s performance. Meg will discuss the process of editing from the script stage, to organizing dailies and cutting scenes, to the final stage editing with the Director/ Showrunner.

Meg Reticker has been an accomplished editor in both film and television for over
twenty years. Meg prides herself on working in multiple genres including comedy,
drama, and documentary. Her comedy credits include the award winning shows
“Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” and “30 Rock” created by Tina Fey, the film “Wet Hot
American Summer”, directed by David Wain, and “Bored To Death and Blunt Talk created”
by Jonathan Ames.
Meg’s dramatic television credits include David Simon’s “The Wire”,
“Big Love” created by Mark V. Olsen and Will Scheffer, Dan Futterman’s “Looming Tower”,
and “Warrior” created by Jonathan Tropper. Meg’s feature film credits include “Come
Early Morning” directed by Joey Lauren Adams, “Winter Passing” by Adam Rapp, “Heavy”
directed by James Mangold, and “Lucky Them” directed by Megan Griffiths .
The seminar is $40.00 per person.
