There are no fees to get placed on the Roster and everything can be handled online through their portal – www.thehub.org
All classifications are required to take Safety Courses A-General Production Safety, HP1 and WVP.
In addition, Sound classifications need to take Safety Course K.

Classification–Specific Information
How many days of work experience do I need?
Animation Editor — Work Experience
Animation Editors must demonstrate 175 days of non-union work experience within the last three years, prior to the date of application.
Apprentice Editor — Work Experience
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement in existence between the Producers and Local 700, employers are required to give preference of employment in all hires to persons who are already on the Industry Experience Roster ("The Roster"), which is maintained by Contract Service Administration Trust Fund.
The Roster lists the names of individuals who have acquired a certain amount of work experience (and, in some cases, additional requirements) within their specific craft as outlined in each of the local unions' collective bargaining agreements
The Industry Experience roster must be exhausted before a signatory company can hire a non-roster Apprentice. Guild approval is necessary prior to beginning any union job. If approval is granted, you must join the Guild after 30 calendar days. You are then eligible for roster placement.

Assistant Colorist — Work Experience
Assistant Colorists must demonstrate 100 days of non-union work experience within the last two years, prior to the date of application.
Assistant Editor — Work Experience
Assistant Editors must demonstrate 100 days of non-union work experience within the last two years, prior to the date of application.
Colorist — Work Experience
Colorists must demonstrate 100 days of non-union work experience within the last two years, prior to the date of application.
Editor — Work Experience
Editors must demonstrate 175 days of non-union work experience within the last three years, prior to the date of application.
Engineer — Work Experience
Engineers must demonstrate 100 days of non-union work experience within the last two years, prior to the date of application.
Foley Artist — Work Experience
There is currently not a Roster requirement for a Foley Artist prior to acquiring a union position. When you have secured union work, please contact the Membership Department.
Film Technician — Work Experience
The Industry Experience roster must be exhausted before a signatory company can hire a non-roster Laboratory/Video Technician. Guild approval is necessary prior to beginning any union job. If approval is granted, after 30 calendar work days you must join the Guild. You are then eligible for roster placement.
Librarian — Work Experience
Librarians must demonstrate 100 days of non-union work experience within the last two years, prior to the date of application.
Music Editor — Work Experience
Music Editors must demonstrate 175 days of non-union work experience within the last three years, prior to the date of application.
Recordist — Work Experience
Recordists must demonstrate 100 days of non-union work experience within the last two years, prior to the date of application.
Re-Recording/Scoring Mixer — Work Experience
Re-Recording/Scoring Mixers must demonstrate 100 days of non-union work experience within the last two years, prior to the date of application.
Service Recorder/TV Engineer — Work Experience
Service Recorders/TV Engineers must demonstrate 100 days of non-union work experience within the last two years, prior to the date of application.
Sound Editor — Work Experience
Sound Editors must demonstrate 175 days of non-union work experience within the last three years, prior to the date of application.
Sound Service Person (Y16) — Work Experience
There is currently no Roster requirement for a Sound Service Person prior to acquiring a union position. When you have secured union work, please contact the Membership Department.
