You are invited to attend a meeting of the newly formed MPEG Unscripted Workers Alliance!

This work group was founded to provide a continuing forum where members of MPEG who primarily work in unscripted can share their unique concerns that face our work environments.

 At this first meeting we hope to discuss:

• Encouraging engagement with colleagues about Guild issues and contract violations.
• Encouraging colleagues who work on non-union shows to organize and obtain union contracts.
• Discussing Story Producers / Story Editors and making sure that they are covered correctly under union contracts.
• Ideas for in-person/virtual panels and articles in CineMontage that are FOR unscripted members, not just simply ABOUT what we do.
• Increasing participation among unscripted members in union leadership.

We will also have a presentation by West Coast Executive Director Scott George and West Coast Assistant Executive Director Jessica Pratt about upcoming contract negotiations and damages (wages and MPI) that MPEG recovered for its members in 2021, because a large percentage of the violations were in unscripted work.
