SCHOOL ON WHEELS:

The local 800 Young Artists Committee (their equivalent Young Workers) are partnering with an AMAZING organization called "School On Wheels" to help raise funds and supplies for kids living in shelters, motels, vehicles, group foster homes, and the streets of Southern California.

Next SATURDAY THE 20TH there will be a fun pub hang at Golden Road Brewing with the Young Artists Committee,  they will have a box to collect NEW school supplies! No pressure but feel free to donate any new school supplies you'd like from the list at the bottom of the email. The Young Artists Committee will be dropping off the donation box to the "School on Wheels" the following week.

1 in every 20 children in California does not have a home, and homelessness has a devastating impact on education. Kids are 9 times more likely to repeat a grade and 4 times more likely to drop out school entirely. Over the past 28 years, School on Wheels have served more than 50,000 students in this community. 

HOMEY MADE MEALS!

Crowd-sourcing home made lunches and distributing them to our unhoused neighbors. You can volunteer to be a driver, a cook, both, or just make a monetary donation! Let them know when you're available and they take care of the rest.
